I developed extensive knowledge of child behavior and development in my previous career as an educator. Now I enjoy working therapeutically with children experiencing
- anxiety and stress
- relationship conflicts and social difficulties
- school problems
- difficulty managing emotions
- gender dysphoria
- adjustment to transitions such as divorce, moving, and loss.
Providing therapeutic support to children can prevent their challenges from interfering with healthy development and allow them to meet their emotional, academic, and social potential.
Children’s primary method for understanding the world and communicating is through play. I use art and play therapy to explore children’s experience and feelings, support healthy expression of emotions, and teach coping skills. I also work with parents, providing ways to support their child at home.
